Please find attached further details about the closure of Banbury Lane, Lower Thorpe Mandeville for approximately 3 days from 18 June 2025 to 20 June 2025. We will be launching the viaduct structure over the road using a winch system.

As a contingency, the road closure has been secured with the local authority until the 27 June. in case there are any delays to the works beginning on 18 July. The roadside date display boards will reflect this date of 27 June; however, we will reopen the road as soon as it is ready and safe to do so.

Access to properties and business will be maintained from either the Culworth or Thorpe Mandeville direction, there will be no access for through traffic.

For those interested in viewing the launch in progress, we will be arranging an opportunity to come onto site and see this. This will be a pre-booked session, and I will send further details on the booking process next week.

An example of a previous viaduct launch in Westbury can be seen in this short video via the website Westbury Viaduct - HS2
