Junior Cricket Club

Culworth Parish Council Junior Cricket Club

Culworth Junior Cricket Club

We are a progressive cricket club which offers a safe, effective and child-friendly cricket club taking children aged between 6-16 years old. During the cricket season (April – July) we practise on a Tuesday night between 6-8 pm. We normally have four teams in the South Northants Junior Cricket League :-

  • Under 9s (kwik cricket)
  • Under 11s
  • Under 13s (joint with Marston St Lawrence JCC)
  • Under 15s (joint with Marston St Lawrence JCC)

We continue to invest in quality coaches to develop the playing standards of all our cricketers:

  • We have five qualified coaches
  • We have a club logo and rebranded name – “Culworth Lions”
  • We have a branded range of team clothing such as shirts and trousers
  • We pride ourselves in being very inclusive and are proud that nearly 50% are female players
  • We hold winter coaching sessions
  • We reinvest reserves into more equipment to improve the coaching experience
  • We have a club newsletter
  • We aim to get more players representing our club at district and county level (we currently have a under-15 county girl player, and two boys playing district under-11 and under-13)
